Antique Flowers 08, Loudon, 1842

Antique Flowers by Mrs Jane Loudon, published in 1842 by William Smith of London.

Mrs Loudon produced these wonderful plates from living specimens, she was very fortunate that her husband was one of the head gardeners of The Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew. These studies are one of the most beautiful executed floral engravings of the time.
